I was today years old when I found out that NBA superstar and entrepreneur, Shaquille O’Neal, has the same birthday as my daughter. Shaquille has his hands in many money-making schemes businesses and one of his latest ventures, the fast-food restaurant, Big Chicken, has already come to Washington state three times over.

Last year, a colleague told me that when he went to the Seattle Kraken game, he saw Shaq's Big Chicken restaurant. I didn't even know Shaq had his own fast food chain until that point, so I thought the only Big Chicken location in Washington state was at Climate Pledge Arena.

From Vegas to Washington State

Come to find out, there are actually three (3) places we can get some of Shaq's Big Chicken. Did you know about these other two locations? Now a fourth one is about to open up shop sometime this Fall, according to the Big Chicken's website.

Big Chicken is a fast food chain started in 2018 by Shaq and a team of partners in Vegas, thus creating its first location across from the Virgin Hotels and Hofbräuhaus Bavarian Restaurant. Not being satisfied with being an investor in Papa Johns franchises, Shaq joins the slew of celebrities like Venus Williams, Drake, Danny Trejo, Jimmy Buffet, Rick Ross, Lady Gaga, and Phil Mickelson branching out their portfolios to include more fast food restaurant chains and restaurants in America.

A Taste of the Big Menu at Big Chicken

Big Chicken restaurant features sandwiches named, “Big & Sloppy”, which tops mac and cheese (encrusted with Cheez-Its®) over fried onion crisps and a big ole piece of breaded chicken. There are 4 main sandwiches to choose from, the M.D.E., Uncle Jerome’s Nashville Hot, Big Aristotle, and Big & Sloppy. Of course you can customize sandwiches to get them the way you want it.

The menu features categories of Mains, Sides, and Sweets. Sides include items like Jalapeno Slaw and Dirty Fries (which is a combination of cheese sauce, bacon, banana peppers, chipotle barbecue sauce). The Sweets look tempting with shakes, ice cream sandwiches, and cookies that look as big as Shaq's head (hee, hee)!
