Two country contestants were eliminated on American Idol this week. Here's who's left for Season 22 of the ABC reality show.

What started as a diverse group of newcomers, stage veterans and styles has been whittled down to three finalists. On Sunday (May 12), Emmy Russell and Triston Harper were sent home. That's a blow to country music fans hoping for another winner.

Will Mosley remains, and one has to wonder if having three country finalists in the Top 5 split the vote, reducing the chances of either Harper — the youngest Top 12 finalist — or Russell — Loretta Lynn's granddaughter — to advance.

Who's Left On American Idol?

The three remaining American Idol contestants are Abi Carter, Mosley and Jack Blocker. Each was challenged to perform songs from a Disney or Disney-related movie, and they picked songs from The Little Mermaid, Cars 2 and D3: The Mighty Ducks, respectively.

Kane Brown was the mentor for this penultimate episode of Season 22. Next Sunday's (May 19) three-hour-long finale will include performances from country talent like Cody Johnson, Wynonna Judd and Darius Rucker (as part of Hootie and the Blowfish). Jon Bon Jovi will be the guest mentor.

As always, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry (who recently announced she'll be leaving the show) and Lionel Richie are judges for American Idol. Their feedback shapes public opinion of each performer's time on the show, although sometimes a fan base may step up for a singer they think is being picked on.

This list of remaining contestants will be updated with each elimination.
