I love shoes, I mean I don't have a unhealthy obsession with them by any means, well maybe with flip flops. So, if you were to ask me, "Hey Aly, want to go on a hike?" I'd probably look at you with a scared face because well, I don't have the right shoes.

Here's a list of shoes you SHOULDN'T wear on a Washington State Hiking Trail:

Flip Flops (for the record, they are not called "thongs"):

Save these for just about everywhere else, but don't even try on a hiking trail. Nope. Could you imagine breaking a strap halfway up a trail?!? A thing of nightmares right there!

Let's be real here, are we strolling the house or strolling the great outdoors? Take your pick, you can't choose both, at least not with these shoes.

I'll be the first to admit, if given the choice to run in sneakers or in Wedge High Heels, I'd choose the heels. They are super comfortable for my feet. But unfortunately, they are not ideal for the hiking trails... Dang it.

Ok, I may be using the article as an excuse to look at some super cute shoes. No! No, I'm not! I'm giving you the hard hitting, "What you shouldn't do," life advice here.

I know the shoes were probably your absolute favorite and could fit your foot just right, but please make sure to have some good shoes for ankle support, heck any support! You don't want to be stuck up a hill with no shoes.

There ya have it! No go enjoy hiking! Or at least enjoy thinking about hiking while you wear your flip flops or heels.
