Washington Ranked 10th Best State to Have a Baby
Babies? Yeah, we have a couple of those here in the Pacific Northwest. If you don't directly see them no doubt you hear them at the store, at church, at the movies or wherever else you may happen to be. And no reason why not! And for us here in Washington State, it's a good thing as Washington was ranked 10th best state to have a baby, according to WalletHub.com.
Health care, family friendliness and baby friendliness all played a factor in this list. Some do it better than others and, on average, Washington is one of the best states for babies.
The number one spot is reserved for Massachusetts with our friends in Mississippi being last.
Washington State also ranked 3rd for rate of preterm births, 3rd for parental-leave policy and 6th for rate of low birth-weight.
If you're planning on having a baby here in Washington, you'll be in good hands.
