MAV3RICK SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: Can’t Have Mine -Dylan Scott 

Dylan Scott has come a long way his first single 10 years ago called, Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy. Then still trying to find himself with, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm where he, like Sam Hunt, started adding a bit of rap to his edger song. And then in 2014, he finally found himself at the top spot on the country charts with a song about his high school sweetheart, who he eventually married called, My Girl. Since then…hit after hit after hit.

This week, we need your thoughts on some new country from Dylan Scott’s album, Livin’ My Best Life, called, Can’t Have Mine. What I love about this song is, it’s a bit different from his past hits. I’d say that this is more of a traditional slow country tune. Which proves that Dylan Scott can do any style, showing off his vocal talents.  

As for the lyrics, I almost feel like it was written for me. Well…what l mean by that is, the girl he’s describing would be my ideal. Find you a girl that leaves you speechless. Gets wild on the town, but still loves Jesus. Find you a girl that loves her daddy, and talking’ babies makes her happy.

Well, I love the song but you be the judge this week. Does Dylan Scott have another hit on his hands? Can Can’t Have Mine reach the top spot on the charts.
