MAV3RICK SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: Fearless -Jackson Dean

In the past few years, New Country artists have taking over the airwaves. We haven’t seen anything like this since the mid 1990’s. And we know how that changed the course of country music and country radio with artists who would become superstars like Garth Brooks. So with a new batch of new artists, who’s gonna be the next Alan Jackson? How about another Jackson? As in Jackson Dean. Last year, the 22 year old Jackson Dean exploded out of nowhere, taking listeners of Kissin’ 977 by surprise with a rockin’, fist pumpin’, toe tappin’ jam that everyone turned up loud in the car to sing along with, Don’t Come Lookin’. Dean went from watching the CMAs on TV to being on the Red Carpet with fans shouting out his name, and reporters stopping him to ask him a million questions. And then…to be welcomed into The Circle at the Grand Ol Opry. And if that wasn’t enough, he gets one of his songs featured on arguably one of the hottest shows on TV, Yellowstone.

So now…how does a guy like Jackson Dean follow up to Don’t Come Lookin’? I mean, any song of his album, Greenbroke could be a massive hit on the radio. So we pick, Fearless as this week’s Mav3rick Spotlight of the Week.

Jackson boldly states, “I’ll jump off the ledges, burn all the bridges, walk on the edges.” Yeah. He’s fearless. Except when it comes to falling for the one he’s crushin’ on. “I don’t scare easy, as long as you keep me square in the middle of your arms.” Proving that even a strong minded guy can go weak in the knees.

Now it’s time for you give Fearless  a listen and let us know, is it a hit or a miss? You be the judge on the Mav3rick Spotlight of the Week from Jackson Dean.
