Memorial

As the golden chords of Pianist Melanie Nees rang over the Rocky Reach Dam Friday evening, an estimated 1,569 community members quietly listened in solace. Many hung their heads, others holding hands, some cried. Attendees wore pink, green, and purple in memory of Paityn, Evelyn, and Oliva Decker...

A volunteer firefighter who dedicated over fifty years of service to the Wenatchee Valley is being remembered this weekend.

Many who knew him would describe him as confident, loud, larger than life.

His passions in life included his children, and the great outdoors! From being a part of the Mission Ridge crew to being a rafting guide (plus many other adventures!) He was always out embracing life and what the great PNW has to offer. Other passions included his love for music and his dear friends. Mike was a one-of-a-kind soul who will be greatly missed.
