What are your top “guilty pleasures” from Costco?
A guilty pleasure is defined as “something that you enjoy despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard.” For instance, I love the movie “Big Trouble in Little China”. I just do.
What I was wondering is what would your top guilty pleasure from Costco be. I have a new one that I will admit to you at the end of this article. I found a reddit thread that actually posed this question and some of the answers were interesting.
Off the top I’ll tell you that one of mine is the Costco Curro. It’s over two feet of deep-fried doughy sugar covered goodness, But I can’t tell my cardiologist that, He would just shake his head and smile that sad little smile as he mentally knocks another year off my life expectancy. here are some of the other answers.
“A large bag of harvest cheddar Sun Chips”.
“A Polish Dog (or two)”, this person must be in Canada. I miss the Polish Dog.
“The honey smoked salmon”. I’ve never tried it, I guess I’ll have to.
“Spending lots of money on things I didn't know I needed”. Yeah, I’ve been there.
Another thing I like is the Dainish. (Four to a pack but you must buy two packs) If I can’t help myself, I get one cream cheese and one apple, and they go in the freezer.
Ok now for the big reveal, right now the bakery has a Chocolat PeanutButter cream pie.
When you pick it up it feels like it weighs ten pounds. Not really, that’s just the weight you will gain when you eat a slice. Yes, I got one, but I’m giving half of it to my girlfriend. She won’t thank me, but she will like it.
