COUNTRY TOP 30 WITH BOBBY BONES

Every Saturday morning from 6am-10am, wake up with Bobby Bones as he counts up the hottest songs in the country with the Country Top 30. You can also catch it again Sunday nights from 7pm-11pm on Kissin’ 977.

This week the number one was a no brainer. We all saw this coming from the first time we heard it on Kissin’ 977. Son of a Sinner from Jelly Roll. A Song from his album, Ballads of the Broken, that he co-wrote with New Country artist and best bud, Ernest.

The out goin’ tattooed country outlaw Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason DeFord) is an open book about his past life. His time in prison, his faith in God, who is sometimes two different people. Being a lovin’ family man, but a guy who still parties hard with his buddies from before he was incarcerated. And Jelly Roll is no newcomer to the music scene. In fact he was known as a rapper with music dating back to 2010. In 2018 He teamed up with Struggle Jennings (the grandson of country music superstar Waylon Jennings) hitting the charts with their album, "Waylon & Willie II". In fact, they’ve dubbed themselves the new Waylon & Willie. Check out one of the recent interviews Jelly Roll had with Amy Brown from the Bobby Bones Show (weekday mornings from 5am-10am on Kissin’ 977). He’s so much fun.

So what’s next for Jelly Roll? Well, he’s got a new song that we’re playing on Kissin’ 977 called, Need a Favor, that will be featured on a new album that will be coming out later this year. And just in time as Jelly Roll is going to be hitting the road soon with Hailey Whitters as a pat of Eric Church’s Outsiders Revival Tour, making a stop at The Gorge on September 9th. Tickets go on sale Friday. If you want more details, CLICK ON THIS LINK

And then we’ll find out next week if Jelly Roll can hold on to the number spot in the US with the Country Top 30 with Bobby Bones Saturday morning from 6am-10am and then again Sunday night on Kissin’ 977.
