WATERSHED 2023 at The Gorge in Washington
WATERSHED 2023
For many of us Shedders, and Kissin’ 977 listeners, waiting for the lineup and dates for Watershed 2023 was like a kid who was counting down the days until Christmas. We all had our wish list filled out, and Thursday night before announcement day, artists and bands danced in our dreams, all in hopes that we’ll see them soon perform live at the Gorge Amphitheater, August 4th, 5th, and 6th. https://watershedfest.com
Well? Did you get who you wished for? It’s good to see a couple of legends and return main stagers Keith Urban (Brown Eyes Baby) and Luke Bryan (Country On). Along with new comer, Cody Johnson (Human).
Also appearing on the main stage during the three day country music festival this summer are artists that are taking over the radio airwaves like Carly Pearce (What He Didn’t Do), Parker McCollum (Handle on You), and Lainey Wilson (Heart Like a Truck, wait in the truck).
Plus, another new country artist who was discovered on the NBC reality show, The Voice, Kameron Marlowe (Girl on Fire), former member of the Zac Brown Band, Niko Moon (Good Time), and ERNEST (Flower Shops with Morgan Wallen) who has graduated to the main stage from last year where he was on the Next From Nashville stage.
Other highlights at Watershed 2023, we have quite a few performers who are former Mav3rick Spotlight of the Week artists like, Travis Denning (After a Few), Tenille Townes (Shared Walls with BRELAND), Kylie Morgan (If He Wanted To He Would), Connor Smith (Take It Slow), MacKenzie Porter (Thinking ‘Bout You with Dustin Lynch), and Chayce Beckham (23).
Some of the things we noticed this year at Watershed 2023 is all the new country artists who again are dominating country radio right now. And catching our eyes and ears are the many female artists performing this year who are equally rockin’ the new country scene.
Of course the great thing about Watershed is not just the shows, but all the different activities and food. Lots and lots of food. And then there’s the camping that you’ve got to experience at least once. Although once you’ve done the camping, you’ll want to do every year with your close friends. As it’s an event on its own with all the parties hosted by your neighboring campers, who in some cases become life long friends afterwards. Make sure you click on the Watershed link to get your wristbands and more, and camping info, plus any lineup changes. Everything goes on sale February 3rd.
We’ll see you this year as always! Here’s a video of the fun we had last year with interviews from some of the artists of Watershed 2022.
